Give: Embracing ASD’s Core Values

[2 Minute Read]

Everything we do at ASD is in line with our core values and success drivers because, to us, they are more than just words, they're a way of life. They govern the decisions we make as an organization and as individuals. One of the most important core values? Give.

Give has been one of our core values from the very beginning; it's traced back to ASD's humble roots. No matter how far we go as an organization, we'll never forget the communities that helped us get started. This is why we always choose local charities to support.

Last year, we sponsored three families from North Carolina by purchasing Christmas gifts and food. We also made a sizable monetary donation to the Bethlehem Elementary Benevolence Fund, which helps individuals with food, medications, and other necessities that they cannot afford. In Georgia, we bought every item on 43 fosters kids Christmas lists through Clark Howards Christmas Kids program.

This year we selected charities that help our communities year-round, not just during the holidays as we believe they have the most significant impact on people's day-to-day lives.

In North Carolina, we will be raising money to support The Corner Table, a soup kitchen outreach ministry. The organization also houses the Backpack program for the area, which we have sponsored in the past. Donations will help provide meals for individuals in the community.

In Georgia, we're teaming up with two different organizations: Meals by Grace and Annadale Village. Meals by Grace is a food program for children of Forsyth County that have been identified as having a need by the school system social workers. Donations will go towards buying the children and their family's daily essentials such as food and toiletries.

Our second charity, Annandale Village, is dedicated to assisting adults with developmental disabilities and brain injuries so that they can maximize their abilities and maintain independence. Donations will help buy supplies for individuals (clothing such as socks, gloves, bedding, etc.) and the organization (art supplies, equipment, etc.).

It was another successful year of raising donations for our worthy charities, and we can't thank our employees enough for participating. ASD® matched every contribution dollar-for-dollar, and together we raised almost $9,000!

What makes this even more special is that none of these charities knew we were doing this. When we called them to inform them about our donation, they were overjoyed.

We are forever grateful to have the generous employees that we do. This wouldn't have been possible without all of you. Together we are going to make a positive impact on so many lives during this special time of year.
