The local affiliates we use for all ASD® installations-our AASDI™ network-encompass several hundred certified technicians across the United States, Canada, Europe, Central and South America.

The AASDI™ program allows ASD® to provide on-site support and at the same time maintain consistencies in project design, engineering and management.

Pre-screened and tested for competency in today's challenging network environments, all AASDI™ certified technicians are further evaluated on their knowledge of structured cabling system standards, networking standards for both wired and wireless systems, surveillance and access control, as well as building automation systems.

Our AASDIs™ are not sub-contractors. They are partner affiliates who participate in three key areas of our business:

• Sharing of national accounts-ASD® does not use our AASDI™ network as contractors. We are a source of business for them, and they also tap into the reach and resources of ASD® in serving their own local clients.
• Group purchasing power
• Development of best practices

Because our AASDI™ members are local, costly travel and living expenses charged by most "national" companies can be avoided. Also, most "national" companies aren't set up to handle moves, adds and changes after the initial installation. With ASD®, the follow-up service is performed by the certified technicians who installed the project. A single phone call to the ASD® nationwide service center will dispatch the technicians to your site. Typically all moves, adds and changes can be handled on a pre-determined price-per-cable basis.
